ANNUAL VISUAL ARTS/ARTS EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Art Guild of Orange Park, Inc. is proud to announce that this year (2008) we have two winners of our Annual Art Scholarship Program. 

Ms. Laura Clark, from Ridgeview High School, and Ms. Georgia Libert from St. Johns Country Day School.  Both of these talented young ladies impressed the review panel with their outstanding letters of recommendation, high academic achievement and wonderful portfolios that showed a high level of professionalism.

Both young ladies were present at the Award Reception in their honor on May 6th, along with their very proud parents!!!

Congratulations to Ms. Melissa Nicolay, our 2007 $500 Art Scholarship Winner.  Melissa was honored at a reception of the Art Guild members on May 1st.  Melissa is an AP student at Ridgeview High School and plans to attend the University of North Florida to study graphic arts.  Mr. Daniel Nicolay attended the award ceremony for his very talented daughter.  We wish her great success!!!!

Scholarship Guidelines
for Clay County Graduating High School Seniors
$500
Will be awarded in 2009
-Students must be attending a Clay County High School
-Students must be seeking a degree in the Visual Arts or Arts Education.
-Student must have a letter of recommendation from their current art instructor or teacher.
-Student must include a copy of his/her college/university acceptance letter.
-Student must enroll as a full time student
-Applicant cannot be a paid member of the Art Guild of Orange Park, Inc.
-Student should include a list of any awards received for their artwork.
-Student will be expected to present a portfolio of at least 10 works in his or her field of expertise.
-Student will be expected to appear for an interview with the Art Guild Scholarship Committee in April (date and time to be set).  Be prepared to speak about your place in the arts and your ambitions for the future.
